
Mogale City’s DA Mayor Tyrone Gray has been removed through a motion of no confidence.
Tyrone Gray, the DA mayor of Mogale City was ousted through a resolution of no confidence.
The removal was just hours after a court ordered the reinstatement of 40 ANC and EFF councilors who had been sacked by the council’s speaker,
Lesego Makgatho, the council whip, and the same speaker, Jacqueline Pannall, were both defeated.
The ATM supported the ANC/EFF coalition, helping it win 43 of the 77 votes needed to oust the mayor.

34 council members representing the PAC, ACDP, IFP, and IFP had opposed the motion to dismiss Gray.
