According to Lamola, there is no national legislation prohibiting former prisoners from working. Employers were urged by Lamola to hire formerly incarcerated individuals after their rehabilitation programs were completed.
” All that we are appealing for is for employers not to overlook our skilled parolees but rather give them equal opportunities and pay them fairly for their labour.”
