Harvey Weinstein has been sentenced to a further 16 years in jail for rape and sexual assault.
Harvey Weinstein was given a 16-year prison term in his criminal trial in Los Angeles on Thursday, which will be added to the 23 years already serving for the sexual assault claims that sparked the #MeToo movement.
In his second criminal trial, the jurors in December found Weinstein guilty of rape and sexual assault.
The former movie mogul, 70, has already served nearly three years of his 23-year sentence for a New York rape and sexual assault case.

According to The Guardian, more than 100 women have openly accused Weinstein of sexual assault, abuse, and harassment that allegedly occurred over a period of decades.
Weinstein’s legal team has frequently asserted that their client has been unfairly portrayed as the face of the #MeToo movement while he has maintained his innocence and denied any allegations of rape or assault.
