At its meeting on Friday, the party’s provincial executive committee (PEC) decided to back Ramaphosa’s reelection as president when the ruling party holds its elective conference in December of this year.
This decision was expected.
The province has gone with Paul Mashatile for Deputy President and Nomvula Mokonyane for Deputy Secretary-General.
The Eastern Cape, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and North West all adopted resolutions endorsing Ramaphosa for a second term prior to the ANC Gauteng’s endorsement.
