Sunday World previously reported that Lebo M‘s ex, Zoe Mthiyane described co-parenting with the Lion King star as near impossible.
“Parenting with Lebo is impossible. We had to find ways to cope with that fact. However, I am lucky to have had intensive therapy, valuable advice, and support to lean on. I practice gentle parenting as I learned early on that each child is born with their own personality,” the publication quoted Mthiyane.
Following the article, Lebo M’s wife Pretty Samuels-Morake responded to Mthiyane’s claims through an official statement.
Pretty Samues-Morake notes that over all this time, she chose to “remain silent in her effort to maintain the dignity of her family and protect the well-being of their kids.”
She says at this moment there is no co-parenting plan between the three parties.
“The matter regarding the minor child has always been addressed legally by the relevant forums.”
Samuels-Morake explains that Zoe’s 7-year-old daughter with Lebo was taken away from Mthiyane after she caused an accident while driving under the “heavy influence of alcohol with the child inside the vehicle.”
She adds that Mthiyane has since failed to appear in court.
“She was released on bail and failed to appear in court and attend her trial. A warrant of arrest was issued several months ago and is pending execution by the Douglasdale SAPS whilst Zoe remains a fugitive of the law.”
