Supporters attending the African Football League Final (AFL) between Mamelodi Sundowns and Wydad Ac on Sunday, 12 November can make use of the Gautrain for free.
This was confirmed by the Gautrain Management Agency who said supporters of both clubs who wear the relevant football jerseys can take the Gautrain to the Hatfield Station at no charge.
In additional a Gautrain shuttle service will transport the supporters to the Loftus Versfeld Stadium at no costs.
“We hope this will encourage foorball lovers to opt for a more efficient, safe and convenient mode of transport to this highly anticipated final.”

The following terms and conditions apply:
- The free service is from all Gautrain Stations excluding OR Tambo International Airport Station
- Supports wearing Sundows or Wydad gear will be given armbands at departing stations
- The train service to Hatfirl Station runs between 11h00 and 15h00
- A Gautrain shuttle service will run between Hatfield Station and Loftus Versfeld Stadium from 12h00 to 19h00
- The train service from Hatfiel Station after the event runs till 19h30
