Fraud-accused forex trader, Sandile Shezi plans to launch a youth political party and plans to run for President in the 2024 general elections.
The self-proclaimed millionaire said he’s focused on uniting the youth of the country to shape a brighter future together.
In October 2021, Shezi was issued with a warrant of arrest for allegedly defrauding multiple investors and a Johannesburg businessman.
According to City Press, the 31-year old handed himself over to police later that month and was released on bail.
Shezi was facing 5 charges of fraud then, and was re-arrested in April 2022 for failing to repay another investor.
One of the fraud cases against Sandile Shezi was withdrawn last year after he reportedly repaid an investor R200 000.
The ambitious youngster faced two more fraud charges in December and, despite his “millionaire” status, proclaimed that he could not afford to pay back the R1.2 million he owed to an alleged victim.
However, in a statement on his social media, Shezi said he wanted to clear the allegations made about his name.
Shezi said he will launching his political ambitions on 24 May, when he visits all nine provinces, and engages with the youth.
“What we’ve been doing over the past 14-years is actually teaching people how to trade and educating the masses. So, my primary focus is to empower people, and give them the information and knowledge to basically be able to trade by themselves.
I think we spend too much time complaining. We can sit and discuss matters every day and never find solutions, but if we come together, that’s when a lot can be achieved and done.”
