FlySafair has chosen to ground a commercial flight plane while it investigates a technical issue.
This comes after two flight delays on March 30 and April 5.
The same aircraft, flying FA143 from King Phalo Airport in East London to Cape Town International Airport, was forced to detour to Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport in Gqeberha on both occasions.

The captain the captain followed safety practice by landing in Gqeberha rather than continuing on to Cape Town after being notified to an error on a tiny component on the wing during both flights.
In a statement to the media, the airline claims its maintenance staff is working with the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA), which supports the decision to ground the plane.
FlySafair said they want to “determine the root cause of the indication light in order to be able to release the aircraft back into service”.
