EFF loses land invasion case against Afriforum.
The Supreme Court of challenge (SCA) has dismissed Economic Freedom Fighter’s request to challenge a court order preventing them from initiating land grabs that was issued by lobbying organization AfriForum.
They were unsuccessful in their attempt to appeal AfriForum’s interdict to stop land occupation.
EFF has already had his motion denied by the High Court, Constitutional Court, and now the SCA.

In a statement by AfriForum, they expressed satisfaction with the decision by the Supreme Court of Appeal.
“In January 2023, Malema and the EFF applied for leave to appeal in this case with the high court in Pretoria — the application was dismissed. They then took the matter to the Constitutional Court, which dismissed their application in March 2023.
“Even after the highest court in South Africa — the Constitutional Court — dismissed their application for leave to appeal, they approached the Supreme Court of Appeal.”
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) released a statement following the judgment where they ‘vehemently objected’ to it saying’ the ‘verdict embodies the oppressive nature of apartheid draconian laws that sanctioned the theft of our ancestral lands.’
