EFF accuses The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) of plotting to assassinate Secretary General Marshall Dlamini.
The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) is accused of plotting to kill Secretary General Marshall Dlamini, which has angered the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).
The South African Police Service (SAPS), according to the party, has notified them that senior IFP leaders are preparing to murder Dlamini.
Senior IFP officials allegedly believe that Dlamini is solely to blame for the choice to propose and support votes of no confidence against IFP mayors in a number of KwaZulu-Natal towns, according to reliable intelligence sources cited by the EFF.
“The EFF condemns with contempt any attempt to assassinate our Secretary General or any other leader for petty and self-serving political reasons.”
“We do not take these reports lightly because the province of KwaZulu-Natal has been defined by many political assassinations for a very long time, a habit which the EFF has never been associated with and has condemned since our formation ten years ago,” said the Economic Freedom Fighters.
