Duduzane Zuma believes South Africa can become a high-tech powerhouse like Dubai. The Chairperson of the ANC, Ward 11 in KwaZulu-Natal is currently in the UAE.
Inspired by the state-of-the-art Arab country, which boasts technologically advanced innovations, Duduzane said it took Dubai 20-years to get here and so can SA.
In an Instagram video shared by one of his team member’s, Duduzane believes it’s a feat that can be accomplished in SA.
“That’s exactly what we’re going to do. In the next 20-years we will have the most technologically advanced cities in SA.”

The 37-year old said as long as there’s a vision anything is possible, but many don’t share his sentiments.
“Backed by vision, re-industrialising, technological advancements and implementation is the only way we get there.”
Duduzane shared that through his extensive travels, he has picked up valuable insight into how the rest of the world runs.
The goal is to take these lessons and successfully implemented concepts and bring it back home.
However, some of the responses showed that South Africans are growing tired of these “big ideas” that politicians sell the public.
“With eskom needing double power generation in 11 years this dream of his is much further off than 20 years. That’s just a reality.”
“Make sure old people recieve a liveable stress free decent in come after all the older people irrespective of colour or creed. Make sure they are happy and comfortable. And you will be abundantly blessed. I love your vision but people first we need you to be passionate not just about the land but the “”PEOPLE ” YOU NEED PEOPLES SUPPORT TO GROW.”
These were some of the comments from followers who watched the video
Whilst it’s good to have big dreams, the viability of achieving this just seems improbable. Perhaps with the bullet trains which are pitted for SA’s long-distance routes, it’s a small step.
