Concerns grow over missing Springbok and Blue Bulls winger, Sbu Nkosi who hasn’t been seen in three weeks.
On Saturday, 03 December, the Blue Bulls confirmed that the rugby player has been missing training sessions since 14 November.
Attempts by the club to reach Nkosi have been unsuccessful and the company took the decision to open a missing person’s case with the Brooklyn Police Station.
The case has since been transferred to the Sunnyside Police Station in Pretoria on 17 November but now the Blue Bulls are appealing to the public for any information on the player’s safety and whereabouts.
“After numerous failed attempts, which include but are not limited to phone calls, text messages, calls to relatives, partner and close friends as well as four house visits to his known place of residence, the company took the decision to open a missing person case.
We appreciate both the public and media interest in the matter, as we all share the same concerns about Sbu Nkosi and his safety. However, we ask that you understand that we cannot make any further comments on the matter as it now sits with the South African Police Services (SAPS).”
The 26-year old’s last appearance for the Blue Bulls was on 30 October against the Sharks.
According to the club, the last time they had contact with Nksoi was on 11 November.
Anyone with further information about the whereabouts or information that may assist the police in discharging their responsibility, please contact the Sunnyside Police Station on +27 12 422 3600 or contact Crime Stop on +27 8600 10111.
