Build One SA leader Mmusi Maimane announces he is running for President.
Mmusi Maimane, the leader of Build One South Africa (Bosa), declared on Saturday that he would be standing for president in the general elections of 2024.
Mmusi Maimane, founded BOSA in 2022. Before stepping down in 2019, Maimane led the Democratic Alliance, the major opposition party in the nation, for four years.
Bosa celebrated its first anniversary as Maimane began the party’s electoral campaign in Tshwane.
“As we mark BOSA’s first anniversary, which was on Heritage Day, I wish to use this platform to formally declare that I will be running for President in 2024. It is time for change, that together with all South Africans we can build a country that prospers for all who live in it.”
“This may seem an audacious task to some, but I believe this is a moment the nation is ready for. History teaches us that there comes a day where David must confront Goliath and indeed see a nation born in a day. Now is that time. Together we can Build Build Build to win.” said Maimane
