South African police have apprehended 40-year-old Hlengiwe Goodness Buthelezi in KwaZulu-Natal’s Msinga region following a tip-off regarding her hideout.
She faces serious allegations of conspiracy to commit murder linked to the December 16, 2025, shooting of DJ Warras outside Johannesburg’s Carlton Centre.
According to investigators, Buthelezi allegedly supplied vehicle and partner information to her partner, Victor Majola, who is accused of orchestrating the fatal hit.
The attack occurred near a contested building where the victim had been managing security operations.
Confirming the operation’s success, KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda stated:
“Police in Msinga have arrested a 40-year-old woman who was wanted in connection with the murder of DJ Warras, who was killed in December 2025 in Gauteng.” Netshiunda added that detectives traced her to a homestead in the Ngcengeni area before arranging her transfer to Gauteng authorities.
This development marks the third arrest in the high-profile investigation.
The confessed gunman is already serving an effective 25-year prison sentence, while legal proceedings against Majola continue.
