Two weeks since Joslin Smith went missing, police found blood-stained clothing believed to be the 6-year old girls in an open field.
The discovery was made a few kilometres from the Diazville, Saldanha Bay informal settlement that Joslin went missing from on Monday, 19 February.
This latest update in the disappearance of the green-eyed Joslin, comes after Police Minister Bheki Cele visited Joslin’s family on Saturday, 02 March.
Cele expressed his disappointment at some political parties using the case of missing Joslin to get popularity and votes from the community.
The Minister assured the Diazville community as well as Joslin’s family that police are doing everything possible to find the little girl.
Joslin was left in the care of her mother’s boyfriend, Jacquin Appollis because she was reportedly feeling sick and her mother had to go to work.
Joslin’s mother, Kelly admitted that both she and her boyfriend are Tik (crystal meth) users, and were reportedly both using on the day of the child’s disappearance.

Since the news of missing Joslin broke, Patriotic Alliance leader Gayton McKenzie has been on the ground with community search teams.
Gayton shared an update on Joslin on Thursday, 29 February and all leads so far have been dead ends.
The blood-stained clothes have been sent to the lab for forensic testing.
