KZN Wildlife officials have confirmed that 13 escaped crocodiles have been recaptured, while the search is still on to find 5 more.
This after a crocodile enclosure in Tongaat, Durban was flooded and the crocs managed to escape their enclosures.
While the exact number of crocodiles that escaped is unknown, Crocodile Creek farm owner, Peter Watson said 7 crocs were recaptured on Tuesday and another 6 on Wednesday, 13 April.
Residents of Tongaat were shocked to find a huge 4 to 5 metre croc under a bridge near Zimbali on Wednesday. In a video that was circulated on social media, the large reptile can be seen chilling on an embankment near a river.

However, Watson said the reptile did not belong to him as he only owned one crocodile similar in size which is about 640kg.
He is however willing to pay a reward of R20 000 to anyone who manages to capture the crocodile and delivers it to him.
This massive crocodile has reportedly been living near the uThongathi River for years.
Emzemvelo KZN Wildlife spokesperson, Musa Mntambo said they were initially informed that 12 crocodiles were loose but they ended up recapturing 14 in total.
While, the croc farm owner says all crocodiles have been recaptured, there are still reports that 5 crocs have been spotted and are still loose on Thursday.
