WATCH: Zandile “Doja Cat” brought out a KZN group at Coachella.
US Rapper Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, known professionally as Doja Cat, made history on Sunday when she brought out the Kwa-Zulu Natal acapella group to the Coachella stage.
Doja was applauded for being the first female rapper in history to headline Coachella.
Her provocative performance and her headline show on Sunday night at Coachella featured a wide range of outfits and ideas meant to astonish and provoke thought among the crowd.

Wearing a white hazmat suit, the rapper and singer opened her artistic set by performing “Acknowledge Me” on a podium behind the soundboard at the main Coachella Stage.
She also brought out ASAP Rocky, 21 Savage, and later unleashed five South African male vocalists from the acapella group The Joy to lead the transition to “Shutcho.”

The Joy which is made up of Melokuhle Mkhungo, Phelelani Sithole, Sanele Ngcobo, Ntokozo Magcaba, and Sandile Sphelele Hlophe is currently preparing to release their debut album, which was recorded live in London. It is expected to drop on the 21st of June.
