FULL LIST: Here are this year’s nominees for the SAMAs

The 30th annual South African Music Awards organizers officially revealed the list of nominees who will be vying for recognition for their contributions to the arts on Thursday morning, September 26.

Tyla, had the most nominations, earning five of them before the presentation this year. The categories she will compete in include Album of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Best Pop Album of the Year as well as Best Collaboration of the Year.

Kabza the Small who recently launched his club PianoHub received 3 nominations for  Album of the Year and Motsweding FM Best Amapiano Album for Isimo and Radio 2000 Duo/Group of the Year.

Kabza is tied with 3 nominations by Mbuso Khoza who worked on various productions shined brightly this past year. Khoza is nominated for Best Produced Album, Best Traditional Music Album, and Best Engineered Album for Shaka iLembe Soundtrack Album Volume 2 

In addition to being broadcast live on YouTube, the announcement was made at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.

1.1.“Personal Information” means information relating to an identifiable, living, natural person and where it is applicable, identifiable, existing juristic person, including all information as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013. 

1.2  Parliament assented to POPIA on 19 November 2013. The commencement date of section 1Part A of Chapter 5section 112 and section 113 was 11 April 2014. The commencement date of the other sections was 1 July 2020 (with the exception of section 110 and 114(4). The President of South Africa has proclaimed the POPI commencement date to be 1 July 2020.

 
1.3. “Processing” means the creation, generation, communication, storage, destruction of personal information as more fully defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.  

1.4. “You” or the “user” means any person who accesses and browses this website for any purpose.
