According to Marsh.com over the past several years, the health and benefits environment has seen a dramatic change, and employers are now placing a higher priority on their employees’ overall health by ensuring that their benefits plan offers a variety of options for their physical, financial, and mental well-being.
They also cited the following as the potential risk of not being mindful of employee’s mental health:
- Increases in absenteeism and presenteeism
- Reduction in productivity, motivation and engagement in employees
- Increased risk for errors and omissions (E&O)
- Increased risk for accidents and injuries in the workplace
- Inability to retain, attract or engage top talent
- Reputational and brand risks
