Takealot has confirmed it would be honouring the R10 million TV refund promise made to customers following the Springboks’ emphatic Rugby World Cup win.
The online retailer ran a Samsung TV promotion between 16 August to 29 September, where customers who purchased select Samsung TVs were promised a full refund if the Boks bring home the title.
A total of 815 customers who bought the above mentioned TVs now expect the retailer to stay true to its word and refund them in full for their purchases.
Julie-Anne Walsh, Chief Marketing Officer at takealot.com speaks to Gugulethu Mfuphi on Kaya Biz, confirming that every customer who purchased a promotional TV at the time, will receive a full refund.
“All refunds will be processed automatically.
According to the competition rules, the refunds will be made either by way of a credit to a valid Takealot account, or a direct refund processed according to the original payment method.
In each case, not transferable and may not be otherwise exchanged.”
Well, well, well, if it isn’t the bridge we said we’d cross when we came to it…👀😉
If SA wins the final, we’ll be refunding over R10 MILLION worth of TVs. 🇿🇦
Will we be giving full refunds come next week? #BacktheBucks https://t.co/SzJLPmbXOp
