The Springboks have done it once again, and will be coming back home the Rugby World Cup Champions.
This after Saturday night’s stunning 1-point victory against the All Blacks.
With back-to-back World Cups behind them, the Boks are the first team in the world to win the championship a record 4 times.
President Cyril Ramaphosa who attended the final match in France, lauded the Boks win, and commended the All Blacks for a hard-fought battle.
“On behalf of the nation, President Cyril Ramaphosa commends the Springboks on their Rugby World Cup 2023 victory over New Zealand, which makes South Africa the first country to win this championship four times.
The President offers his congratulations to the team who performed at the Stade de France this evening, Saturday, 28 October, as well as the coaching team, the broader squad and the team management and technical support staff.
Stronger Together: is a belied that came to life for Springboks supporters all around our country and continent, and the world.
Sport has the power to transform individuals lives and lift the spirit of entire nations.

President Ramaphosa will address South Africans on Monday, 30 October, and has not confirmed the public holiday after the Springboks’ win.
