With the stress and frustration that arises during tax season, with many citizens looking for reliable information on compliance, a South Africa app has been designed to make tax legislation easily accessible.
The app, created by local tax expert Herschel Alpert, is viewed as being extremely useful by businesses, accountants, attorneys, and even students who are interested in South African tax law.

Kaya Biz with Gugulethu Mfuphi spoke to Herschel Alpert, tax consultant and founder HAPP-E TAX about this innovative new South African app.

“Since people find tax a morbid topic, I decided to name the app Happ-e Tax, in order to put a smile on people’s faces, and to provide people with the relevant information at the touch of a button.”
“We designed an app that’s available to tax consultants, professionals, accountants, as well as tax students. The objective was get rid of those nasty 2kg textbooks that were very environmentally unfriendly, expensive and inefficient.”
“It was also to allow people to search for basic tax information with ease.” says Alpert,
