Sifiso Tshabalala and Phange Plaatjies from Electric Zoom (EZ) Bikes join Gugulethu Mfuphi to share about the e-volution of Electric Motorbikes.
In an era where loadshedding has the country in its grips with rolling blackouts meaning hours without power, how practical is an electric motorbike?
The proudly South African vehicle was designed and assembled locally and is said to be cost efficient in two ways:
- No more fussing over rising fuel costs
- The EZ bike is yours after just 60 payments of just R1 699
The bikes boast sustainability and convenience for the avid buyer, and a full charge can give a traveller up to 60 to 70km on a single charge.
But, the electric bikes can only reach speeds of up to 60km/h, making it convenient for quick, short trips.
The electric motorbikes come with a 1-year warranty, two helmets, a USB charging station for on-the-go charging, touchscreen-friendly gloves and a raincoat.
