Zoe’s mother was also instrumental in her musical development, exposing her to the sounds of Letta Mbulu and Caiphus Semenya.
Recently, Zoe embarked on a global tour, including a stop at the renowned North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands. Regarding her upcoming performance at the Joy of Jazz, Zoe Modiga had this to say:
“First and foremost, I think we have an incredible line-up this year. There is Buhlebendalo, Langa Mavuso, Zonke, Simphiwe Dana, and so many incredible artists.
“I am going to be on the Conga stage. It is a little towards the end of the night. We are going to allow music to do what it does, which is transform us. We are going to make memories, and we are going to sing. We are not going to take ourselves too seriously. I want us all to allow ourselves to be spirited.”
