TikTok is undoubtedly one of the fastest-growing social media platforms worldwide, attracting new users every single day. However, it’s important to acknowledge that this platform also has its downsides, particularly when it comes to the decline in physical social interaction among individuals.
Recently, a concerned listener reached out to The Best T in the City to express his frustration regarding his wife and children’s obsession with TikTok.
“My 16-year-old is obsessed with TikTok. She is always on this platform, and I feel her schoolwork is losing attention. What’s worse is that my wife has also joined in on the madness. She, too, is always dancing and creating content with my daughter.
“My wife also tried getting me on the TokTok bandwagon, but I told her that I was not doing it. I am annoyed whenever I get home because my house has turned into this content-creation world, and I am afraid that our youngest child will also fall into the trap.
“I am always at loggerheads with my wife, but she doesn’t see what I am always fighting about. Am I too hard on them because, after all, we live in a digital world?”
