This week, renowned actress Nthati Moshesh joined 959 Breakfast with Dineo Ranaka and Sol Phenduka.
Speaking about dating, Nthati says she’s not into men who are younger than her.
Reflecting back on a time when she was seeing a guy who was three years younger than her, Nthati says it wasn’t for her.
“I am not into younger guys, I’m an ageist. I prefer kind of five years older.
“I’ve dated someone three years younger and it bothered me. It’s an age thing. It bothered me when I turned 40 – he was 37.
“We were completely compatible but it bothered me.”

Responding to Sol Phenduka’s question about the possibility of her working behind the scenes, Nthati says she highly doubts it.
“I don’t think so. I just like performing. I love taking on a character. One day I can play a broadcaster and I’ll remember what Sol and Dineo did because it is all about observation.”
She describes herself as an “observer of life”, hence she loves bringing characters to life. “I’ve always wanted to master acting. I take my hat off to plumbers and electricians because that is what they do,” Nthati adds.
