A South African woman has recently been making waves on social media after sharing that she splurges around R10,000 on groceries at Woolworths weekly.
She took her followers along on her shopping trip, even showing off her receipt before leaving the supermarket.
This news surprised many online, with people questioning how she can afford to spend so much on food, especially given the current state of the South African economy.

Over the last two years, South Africans have had to dig deeper into their pockets as they struggle to keep up with the high cost of living.
A few months ago, actress Xolile Tshabalala lamented the high cost of groceries, sharing her shock at how quickly the prices of food items increased.
In a video, the Blood & Water actress spoke about how, what used to be the cheapest chocolate from her childhood, a Chomp bar, is now at a whopping R7.
Xolile said the chocolate, which was at some point sold for just R1 back in the day, was two months ago R5.
Questioning how something that used to be so cheap has increased by R2 so quickly, the actress said it’s clear the world is turning.
