Lekau Sehoana, founder of Drip Footwear, has announced that their new sneaker, set for release in February, will be available exclusively at TAPE stores.
Sehoana highlighted that this retail partnership marks the brand’s return to business with DRIP SPORTIF.
The entrepreneur expressed gratitude for the public’s messages of support. “This is our REBIRTH,” he stated.
In 2024, Drip Footwear was placed under liquidation. It ceased operations nationwide after the Johannesburg High Court granted a sequestration order to the advertising agency Wideopen Platform for unpaid services amounting to R20 million.
Sehoana, born in Limpopo and raised in a shack in Tembisa, Johannesburg, began making sneakers from recycled materials during his childhood.
He officially launched Drip in 2019, opening stores across South Africa.
