BarLeader CEO Legend Manqele has hit back at suggestions that he leaked the shocking audio that put Somizi and Mohale Motaung’s marriage under the spotlight.
In the audio, Mohale is heard chatting to one of the producers of ‘Living The Dream With Somizi’ about the alleged abuse he suffered in their relationship.
BarLeader produces the hit reality show.
Mohale made several shocking allegations during the conversation. He said the physical abuse started three weeks into their relationship.
The actor alleged that the ‘Idols SA’ judge broke his ribs during a violent dispute.
Mohale denied leaking the audio.
“I wish to make it clear that it has never been my intention to have the private details of my marriage exposed in the public nor will it ever be my intention to cause disrepute to his image,” he said in a statement.
The ‘Rockville’ star said he wanted to tell his story when he was ready. Legend also denied that he was behind the leak.
“I was also shocked when I discovered that the recording had been leaked,” he told TrueLove magazine.

Legend’s production company will not be working on the new season of ‘Living The Dream With Somizi’.
He told TrueLove that the departure was not personal.
“This is purely a business decision… I took a decision that I thought was best for the business.”
Meanwhile, Mohale is celebrating being nominated for an Africa Choice Award. He is nominated in the ‘Male Personality of the Year’ category alongside Oros Mampofu, Kidd Waya and Ozoemena Chukwu from Nigeria, and Ghana’s Mawuli Gavor and Bismark Nii Odoi.
“Please help me bring this award home by voting for me using the link on my bio,” he wrote on Instagram.
