Julius Malema was the talk of the Twitterverse this past weekend after gifting 50 lucky Twitter users a pair of Cassper Nyovest’s new sneakers.
“In support of a Black Child, Black Enterprise and Black Business – The first 50 people to retweet this tweet, using this hashtag: #RF990 and tag @casspernyovest, will get #RF990 sneakers directly from Don Billiato himself, in a venue to be communicated directly to the winners,” he tweeted.

Cassper launched the Roof Of Fame .990 sneakers with Drip Footwear in July. The unisex sneakers retail for R990 a pair, which means the EFF leader forked out R49,500 for 50 pairs.
However, it’s unclear if the sneakers are sponsored or he will be paying out of his own pocket.
Cassper appreciated the gesture.
“Wow. What a great thing to wake up to. Thank you CIC. Let’s do it!!! #RF990,” he replied.

Cassper has a lot to smile about these days. His amapiano track, ‘Siyathandana’ ft. Abidoza, Boohle, achieved a huge milestone on YouTube.
More than five-million people watched the video.
“PIANO TO THE WORLD!!!” Cassper wrote on Instagram.
The 30-year-old is also gearing up to host ‘The Braai Show’ on SABC 1.
“Cassper Nyovest is taking over The Braai Show on Sabc 1! It’s now called #TheBraaiShowWithCass . Don’t forget to use the hashtag!!! Broadcasting dates will be announced by channel soon!!! Le Plane ilandile!! ABASHWE!” he announced a week ago.
AKA’s team is taking legal action against the SABC over the show. The rapper, who hosted season one of the show, slapped the public broadcaster with a cease and desist letter.
AKA says as a joint copyright owner he is entitled to 50% of all the proceeds received in relation to the show.
“This includes, but is not limited to, proceeds from the channel, i.e the SABC, Sponsorship, brand, or otherwise concerned, and in relation to the furtherance and/or promotion of the show and also appropriate credit as the executive producer of the show.”
