South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) was served legal letter for The Braai Show with Cassper Nyovest to stop.
The show which is was set to go on it’s second season without it’s original host, and rival to Cassper Nyovest has been met with a lot of controversy.
The legal papers come a few days after the broadcaster announced that he is to take over from AKA as the host of the show.

In the court papers, Aka’s lawyer say:
“Our client remains the joint copywriter to the Show and therefore remains entitled to all titles and interests to the Show from the conclusion of the Primary Agreement. i.e. the vested contingent or future interest and all other rights in and to the work created. ”

The show which is expected to air in September 2021, has been served with an injunction demand over the issue of IP ownership.
