It has been little over a week since South African musician Zahara pleaded with robbers to return six of her SAMA awards that were stolen.
This week the Loliwe singer is reportedly facing yet again another tragedy.
Zahara is allegedly struggling to pay her R1.9 million loan for her house located in Roodepoort, the West of Johannesburg.
According to an article by the City Press, Zahara was first flagged when she could not keep up with her loans in April 2018.
A notice of motion was issued and filed by the Johannesburg High Court.
In October 2019, an execution order against Zahara was successfully granted by the High Court after she stopped paying the amount owed for about six months.
Her monthly payments had reportedly amount to R17 665,40.
As a result, Zahara’s home is reportedly said to be put up for auction on Saturday, 7th May 2022.
In response to these claims, Zahara has admitted that she has struggled to make payments due to the covid-19 pandemic, but she has however made up for missed payments.
“I paid R100 000 in December and followed that up with another R80 000 in February, paying the account in advance.”
