South African singer Zahara is pleading with robbers who stole 6 of her SAMA awards to return them.
Zahara discovered her home had been broken into when after her Easter break away.
Her SAMA awards were displayed on a Z-shaped stand in her home bar and were the Loliwe singer’s pride and joy.
Speaking to Drum Magazine about the incident, Zahara, said she wants the robbers to be punished but she just wants her awards back.
“I don’t care even if the person leaves them at my gate. I want those awards back,” she says.
She claims the thieves took nothing but her awards and has opened a case of burglary at the Honeydew Police Station.
Zahara says that she’s been living in her home for over 10-years and has never had an incident of theft before as it is a secure estate.
SAMA spokesperson Lesley Mofokeng says they are saddened to hear about the break-in at Zahara’s home and they know how much those awards meant to her.
