Will Smith has finally broken his silence after his wife’s shocking revelations about living separate lives since 2016, saying his wife’s memoir, “kind of woke him up.”
Jada’s memoir, Worthy will be available from Tuesday, 16 October, and is said to hold years of unfiltered truths about her marriage to the Hollwood A-lister.
Revealing she only married Will because she fell pregnant and was pressured by her mother to do so, Jada also shares many moments of intense suicidal thoughts.
In a reported email to the New York Times, Will Smith said Jada’s memoir kind of woke him up, showing him how emotionally blind he was to his wife’s compassion and resilience.
“When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in. And you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.”

Jada, who is currently doing promotional interviews for her memoir, spoke to author Jay Shetty, and shared why she could not bring herself to divorce Will.
In a letter to Jada, Will Smith said, “I applaud and honour you.
If I read this book 30-years ago, I definitely would have hugged you more.
I’ll start now. Welcome to the authors club, I love you endlessly.”
