Popular South African traditional healer Gogo Maweni shares the news of her pregnancy. Maweni revealed in an interview with DJ Sbu on his podcast that she and her husband are expecting twins via IVF.
“Soon we’re going to add two more babies to the list. We’re having twins. This was supposed to be a secret until the bump came out,” she expressed.
“We work so hard, and the reason we work so hard is to be able to afford certain things. There’s IVF. You go, and they take out your egg for the first month, then they take out your egg for the second month, and then they put it back. I went to a gynaecologist and asked to be referred for IVF, and we’re here now.”
More recently, Maweni engaged in an eye-opening conversation with Bonolo BeeSting on The Hive, sharing insights into her unique spiritual journey. She offered insights into her world and her profound connection with snakes.
“I love snakes, and I almost got another one the other day. I am ten years into my traditional journey, and I am still finding things out. People think once you are done with traditional school, you’re back home and that’s it, but it’s actually not. That was just to get the right of passage, so I am still on my journey of finding out what was expected of me by my ancestors,” she said.
“My love of snakes came later. All the animals that I am attracted to are attached to my ancestors. I started dreaming of specific snakes, which I started looking for. It took me a while to be able to get some of them. I think it proves the bond that I have with my ancestors.”
