“To artists, you only peak once” – Lady Du advises upcoming artists on ways to win in the music industry.
Lady Du, real name Duduzile Ngwenya, took some time to give an update on her journey as both a musician and an entrepreneur.
Last year, she put her money from bookings and singing careers into the beauty industry, purchasing land and building a salon.
Lady Du took to Instagram to reveal that the second franchise will open before the end of the year, and she hopes to create a third franchise in the future, urging other artists to invest wisely.
“To artists, you only peak once, then stay relevant the rest of the time, at your peak try and not fall into the trap of trends and start building yourself!!!!! I sacrificed alot of my money and lifestyle to build one i will have forever!!! Currently in the process of paying off all my remaining debts!!!! So, I live a debt free life.”
“My business is not only a salon but real estate! I own all the properties i work on. Leaving a legacy for my daughter!!! This industry isn’t easy at all so move smarter!!!!! I’m currently looking for a home to open my third franchise this is all with my bookings money!!!! No sponsor just plain hard work and sacrifice.”
“God knows our intentions and will give you what your heart desires 🙏 please be loyal to yourself!!!! Success is not an easy road, and yes we have broke days too. Lol im broke as we speak trying to build more but i know next year this time ill be in a very good place financially,” wrote Lady Du.
