Tyler Perry may not have known about vision boards when he was a young boy living in New Orleans but he did have a vision of what he wanted from life.
At the start of his career, he once shared that he lived in an area that straddled mansions on one side and poverty on the other. Being in the epicenter of the two, became the metaphor for his life.
Now the director with billionaire status owns a property portfolio that is vision board perfect for all who aspire to have the same.
Tyler Perry’s Douglasville property is worth over R1 billion rand
This $100 million dollar mansion is still under construction. Depending on which source you read the property is 30 000 to 40 000 square feet, built on top of a 1 200-acre plot in Douglasville, Georgia. The county has a recorded population of 34 650 people and is located just outside of Atlanta. This small county keeps the 8-bedroom, 12-bathroom property complete with a private airstrip well secluded. It is also convenient because it is located just a short distance away from Tyler Perry studios.
Tyler Perry’s other properties:
- A six-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom Atlanta Chateau. In 2009 it was listed for close to $4 million.
- A Tuscan-style LA Villa fit enough for Harry and Meghan to live in, which they did. With a price tag of $18 million, it should even suit the king.
- Atlanta Versailles-style estate that boasts seven bedrooms and fourteen bathrooms. This property was sold in 2017 for $17.5 million.
These are among the few properties he purchased. Others include properties that he bought and sold. Tyler Perry Studio can be included after all it boasts properties that include a fake White House.
The life Tyler Perry currently lives is a far stretch from where he began in a three-bedroom home in New Orleans.
His challenging childhood clearly allowed the Oscar winner to know exactly what he didn’t want to return to.
As seen in the post he made on Instagram for his 50th Birthday, “May I just say, “Thank you” to the little boy that I was. Thank you for all you went through to allow me to be the man I am today. I love you, and I am so thankful to God that you survived. Even when I didn’t want to, your pureness and innocence ushered me here. Thank you for these 50 years. I love you. We made it.”
