Ntombi Ngcobo Mzolo and Khathide Ngobe are set to host the new Maskandi show Yash’ingoma.
The 10-episode show is as nostalgic and celebratory as it is cutting-edge and modern.
Each episode of Yash’ingoma sees artists share their life stories and their journey through Maskandi music.
The musicians kick off the show with an exciting performance, setting the tone for the hour to come, before sitting down for a fascinating interview and a countdown of their personal favourite Maskandi songs.
But Yash’ingoma isn’t only about shining a light on those who have made it – artists will also introduce their favourite up-and-coming performers, who will also get the chance to sing their music in-studio.
Some of the guests who will be featured on the show include the legendary Ihashi Elimhlophe – and, with host Ngcobo Mzolo being his daughter, it will make for an interesting episode.
More guests who will open up on the show as well as perform include Imfez’Emnyama, Sminofu, and Muntuyenziwa.
Yash’ingoma premieres on 15 January 2023 on DStv Channel 321, and it features in-depth interviews with incredible performances from the genre’s biggest names, as well as up-and-comers.
