Snoop Dogg fools everyone, he reveals what ‘giving up smoke’, really means, it’s not weed.
After shocking fans with what turned out to be an ad campaign, Snoop Dogg is still smoking.
He announced on Friday that he “decided to give up smoke.”
He shared a post on Instagram, with an announcement that raised eyebrows when he wrote “much consideration & conversation with my family” and asked the public to “please respect my privacy at this time”.
Snoop Dogg became well-known after featuring multiple times on Dr. Dre’s 1992 album The Chronic, the cover of which prominently featured a marijuana leaf. Many mistook this to mean that Snoop Dogg was giving up marijuana use, but in reality, he was just advertising a brand-new smokeless fire pit.
Speaking as Snoop Lion, the artist revealed in a 2013 interview with GQ magazine that he smoked 80 cannabis blunts every day.
The advert left many gobsmacked on the genius advert that had everyone talking.
“I know what you’re thinking: Snoop! Smoke is kind of your whole thing! But I’m done with it,” the hip-hop star said in the advert.
“Done with the coughing and my clothes smelling all sticky icky. I’m going smokeless.
“Solo Stove fixed fire. They take out the smoke. Clever.”
