It turns out that polygamist Musa Mseleku was not joking when he revealed to his four wives in the previous season of Uthando Nesthembu that he intended to take a fifth wife.
In the highly anticipated first episode of season eight, which aired this week, Mseleku sat down with his fifth wife to discuss the rules and prepare her for her new life within their polygamous family.
“And I’m not there to fight your battles. You’re a grown woman. I will not even comfort you. I will just say, ‘Why are you crying? Dry your tears and move on’,” he advised his newest wife.
“My wives will watch how I treat her. Number two, they’ll want to see if I coddle her. And if I did, that would make it seem like she’s better than them. So, I can’t do that. One of them might ill-treat you, but don’t expect me to intervene. If I intervene, it’ll make you seem more special than her.”
Not much is known about the fifth wife at this stage of the season.
In 2024, Mseleku took to social media to express his gratitude to his wives for agreeing to document their lives on national television.
“Thank you, my Queens, for agreeing to give insight into your lives. I started in 2013 after my book launched, negotiating with you guys, and you only agreed in December 2016 to be part of Mzansi Magic,” Mseleku shared.
