On what would have been the birthday of the late South African actor Menzi Ngubane, his wife Sikelelwa paid a poignant tribute through a heartfelt message shared on social media.
Sikelelwa expressed her deep longing for the strength and solace that Menzi brought into her life. She candidly acknowledged the challenges of concealing her inner struggles behind a façade of bravery.
She continued, “But I’ve found hidden courage, and it helps to see me through. It guides me and protects me. And I know it comes from you.
Sikelelwa held in high regard the memories they shared: “So I shall spend your birthday dreaming that you’re here. Helping me to wipe away every silent treat,” she said.
Menzi Ngubane passed away in March 2021. He is best known for his portrayal of Sibusiso Dlomo in the soap opera Generations from 2003 to 2014, leaving an indelible mark on the screen. His talent extended to various roles in other acclaimed South African TV shows, such as Yizo Yizo, Ashes to Ashes, Gold Diggers, and Heist. In 2016, he took on a new venture as he became part of the cast of the television drama series Isibaya, embodying a taxi firm manager with a complex and shadowy past.
