American superstar Mariah Carey is allegedly filling for primary custody of her 11-year-old twins with television host Nick Cannon.
According to Radar Online, Mariah’s decision to file for primary custody comes as Nick continues to grow his family.
Nick Cannon recently welcomed his 12th child with partner Alyssa Scott.
Despite making attempts to see his twins (Monroe and Moroccan) with Mariah Carey, a source close to Mariah has noted that the twins are most of the time with their mother, Mariah.
“The reality of the situation is that Monroe and Moroccan are usually with Mariah anyway. Nick doesn’t see much of them,” said a source.
The source continued: “But she wants to put him on notice that he can’t just flit in and out of their lives while he attends to his other children. And she wants legal standing as the twins’ primary caregiver”.
It is said that Mariah isn’t trying to punish Nick Cannon, but merely feels compelled to do what she feels is best for their children.
