Kim Jong Un has reportedly banned North Koreans from eating hotdogs.
Kim Jong Un (40) has been the third Supreme Leader of North Korea since December 2011 and the general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea since 2012.
The move is allegedly part of the regime’s ongoing efforts to suppress what it views as decadent, capitalist culture infiltrating the country.
Kim said he believes selling the popular fast food dish will suddenly be considered treasonous because it is too Western.
According to The Sun, anyone in the reclusive state who is discovered preparing the American sausage meal in their homes or selling hotdogs on the street faces deportation to labor camps.
Since the hotdog has become more and more popular in South Korea, Kim has said that providing sausages to North Koreans is now considered treason.
The move is reportedly part of the regime’s ongoing efforts to suppress what it views as decadent, capitalist culture infiltrating the country.
