A social media user on X recently mistakenly identified renowned US actress Halle Berry as South African singer Tyla.
Reacting to a video of Tyla performing, the user mistakenly praised the singer, believing it to be the Water singer.
Halle Berry swiftly corrected the user, clarifying that it was Tyla in the video.
Coincidentally, last year, Tyla paid homage to Halle Berry by recreating her iconic look from the Flintstones movie for Halloween.
Baby that’s Tyla. 🤍 https://t.co/qhF2TiLbC4

Born and raised in Johannesburg, Tyla’s musical journey began with the release of her 2019 debut single, Getting Late, which quickly gained traction locally.
However, it was her 2023 single Water, accompanied by a viral dance challenge, that propelled her to international stardom. The infectious song topped the charts in multiple countries, including South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Tyla’s success has not only solidified her position as a leading figure in the South African music industry but has also brought global attention to the vibrant and evolving sounds of Amapiano and South African culture.
