The Ferguson Foundation was launched at the Houghton Hotel on Friday.
The launch was delayed by the passing of co-founder Shona Ferguson, he passed away in July 2021 as a result of complications with Covid-19, and was honoured at the opening.
The event was attended by many dignitaries and included social development minister Lindiwe Zulu and defence minister Thandi Modise.

Connie Ferguson spoke to Kaya 959 Breakfast ahead of the launch and said the foundation will have a strong focus on mental health awareness.
