South African rapper Emtee has celebrated a major milestone, following the release of his third album as an independent artist.
The multi-award-winning artist has received three Gold plaques for the songs “Ithemba”, “Long Way” and “Logan”.
This major milestone comes as a breath of fresh air, despite enduring a tumultuous rap career with Ambitiouz Entertainment.
Emtee released his “Logan” independently under the rapper’s own label, Emtee Records. So far, besides himself, Emtee has signed one artist Lolli Native.
“Logan” was released in 2021 and consists of several hits like “Wave”, “Long way” and “Brand New Day”. This album also features the likes of Flash IKumkani, J Smash, Moozlie, and Lolli Native.
The hitmaker’s comeback has been exceptional, to say the least. He has received two nominations at this year’s 28th South African Music Awards for the Best Hip Hop Album and Artist of the Year categories.
