Drake buys Tupac’s ring that recently sold for over R17 million at an auction.
Drake has added a piece deemed the most valuable Hip-Hop item ever sold at auction to his already sizable jewelry collection, which already contains several rare and distinctive pieces.
According to Allhiphop.com the ring was created by Tupac in 1996 and was initially projected to sell for $300,000.

The five carats of diamonds and rubies in the crown-shaped 14 karat yellow gold ring were added to commemorate his controversial contract with Death Row Records and his release on bond from a prison.

Three days before he was fatally shot, on September 4, 1996, in New York, 2Pac wore the ring at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Less than a week later, on September 13, at the age of 25, he passed away from his wounds.

Drake took to Instagram to show off the timeless ring, and also reminded his fans that Travis Scott’s album Utopia, which he is featured on is officially out.
