The newest operator of South Africa’s National Lottery, Sizekhaya Holdings, has announced that one lucky South African player has won R69.5 million in Friday night’s PowerBall draw on 3 July 2026.
According to the operator, the lucky jackpot winner bought their R10 ticket at Pick n Pay Auckland Park, Johannesburg.
The winner walked away with a total of R69 520 478.30 after correctly matching the PowerBall numbers 9, 14, 27, 32 and 34, as well as the PowerBall number 15.
Chief Operating Officer of Sizekhaya, Fundi Sithebe said, “Fortune favours the brave, and this lucky ticket holder made a life-changing decision by spending R10 to play PowerBall.
“We’ve already seen so many lives transformed since taking over as the operator of the National Lottery on 1 June, and our latest multimillionaire adds to that growing tally. Congratulations on your spectacular win!” Sithebe added.
Meanwhile, two players in Division Two of the main PowerBall draw have each won R267 318.10.
Sizekhaya continues to encourage players to check their tickets carefully, as winners have 365 days from the date of each draw to claim their prizes.
How to play PowerBall
Tickets are available from authorised National Lottery retailers nationwide, online and through participating banking platforms. PowerBall tickets cost R10, while PowerBall Plus tickets cost an additional R5. Draws are broadcast live every Tuesday and Friday evening.
