DJ Shimza is warning South Africans of delivery drivers trying to scam people and steal their food.
The DJ whose real name is Ashley Raphala, shared a video and thread of tweets about an Uber Eats driver who didn’t deliver his food.
Instead the driver attempted to drive past DJ Shimza’s pick up point saying the artist had cancelled his order.
“Uber Eats drivers have found a way to steal food, I had to call my gate to not let the driver out after completing the delivery without delivering the food, he says I cancelled while I saw him just pass my house, security brought him back after he refused to drive back.”
In a video that was shared with his followers, DJ Shimza can be heard questioning the driver who tells him that he cancelled the order.
To which DJ Shimza responds, “Why would I cancel the order I paid for?”

“It’s the last deliver of the day, the shop has closed, so he wouldn’t be able to take the food back. Passing my house was so that when Uber Eats check his tracker, it shows that he went to the address. All he has to say is that he did deliver it.”
The driver reacted defensively and told the DJ that he could report him, which Shimza did.
However, the response didn’t offer DJ Shimza an apology or any reassurance that this wouldn’t happen again.
