South African comedienne Celeste Ntuli recently took to social media to wish her sister, Fezile, a happy birthday.
“Help me wish my beautiful sister a happy birthday,” she asked her followers. “May you walk with faith and joy in your WINNING SEASON. Wishing you health and wealth in abundance! I love you!”
Celeste also encouraged her followers to show their support for Fezile by placing an order for her Thungisani T-shirt.
Celeste has made her mark as a successful Black female comedienne. Speaking to Bona magazine, she revealed that her love for comedy stemmed from watching legendary US comedian Richard Pryor.
“I watched the videotape of Richard and I was sold. I loved everything about it. I knew I wanted to do that,” she said.
She added that her comedy is about healing.
“My comedy is poking at real issues that everybody in a society can relate to, regardless of our differences,” she explained, also stating, “Comedy for me is healing. That is what it does to me.”
